President Officiated Pertamina's US$5.8 Billion Mega Project
President Joko Widodo. (Photo: MTVN / Desi Angriani), Jakarta: Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officiated Pertamina's integrated mega project, covering the upstream and downstream of oil and gas, with a total investment of US$5.8 billion.

The officiation was conducted at the Donggi Senoro LNG refinery location at Uso Village, Batui District, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. Attending the officiation is the ministers of the Working Cabinet and Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) along with the board of directors.

"The acceleration of energy infrastructure development is the main key for the current and future energy independence," Jokowi said in Jakarta, Sunday (8/2/2015).

Joko Widodo stated Pertamina's integrated mega project and also the ammonia factory are aligned the government's commitment to strengthen the national energy infrastructure, optimizing gas utilization to fulfill energy independence and create additional value within the country.

With the total investments reaching up to US$5.8 billion, he said, it shows the high trust and interests of business people to invest in Indonesia, especially in the energy sector.

"Therefore, the government is very supportive and provides high appreciation to Pertamina and its partners who have initiated and realized the integrated mega project," President concluded.
