The reason is that the government is still studying whether the price adjustment is executable or not.

According to Bambang, currently the fuel price effect on the inflation rate is relatively small, as it was suggested that it is better to think about those with greater impact against inflation, to prevent the purchasing power from being suppressed.

"The role of fuel against inflation is small. Far below the rice price. So it is better to maintain inflation than thinking about premium price. We should think about that first," said Bambang when met at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (10/6/2015).

Even so, he urged the public to be patient in waiting for the government's official announcement related to whether the fuel price is lowered or not. "Wait for the announcement in a very short time," he explained.

Previously, President Joko Widodo asked PT Pertamina (Persero) to recount the fuel price, responding to the announcement made by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) that the fuel price will not change until January 2016.

"Try to recalculate it again. Even it was announced by the ESDM Minister, but the nation is in need now. Please calculate it again, whether it is possible that the premium is lowered, even only a little," said President Jokowi.
