Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama is upset, since there are lots of people selling the flat units in Jakarta. He said he had prepared a strategy to set up those flat mafias.

"So this is a simple trap, actually. I force people to have the same ID as the flat address," said the man usually called by Ahok at the City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta, Monday (10/12/2015).

Ahok appointed the Services for Citizenship and Public Records as the head of the supervision. He assumed that is there are still any flats playing games, the services definitely played in it, as they were the ones authorized to issue the ID cards.

"If there are any players from the flats, it means the services also plays. I can see (whether anyone is playing), I only call the services head and ask for the data. If he doesn't want to give me, I fire him," Ahok said.

ID cards, Ahok continued, is effective in observing the flat mafia movements to sell the flat units. Not only the ID cards, the ATM card for DKI Bank will also be used as a surveillance media.

For now, Ahok said the surveillance is routinely conducted every Saturday and Sunday. The surveillance is conducted by checking the permanent ID. Ahok even said the method has made flat mafia to disappear gradually.

"The flats in Muara Baru, Marunda, has all been fleeing. We want to catch, but it's hard since these people (flat mafia) has fled. It is starting to be well," he mentioned.

Previously, Jakarta Police were hunting the mafias selling the flat units of Muara Baru, North Jakarta. All police precincts were deployed to unveil the flat mafia's playbook.

Jakarta Metro Police Chief Tito has assigned every precinct to conduct action. The order was based on the directions from Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok). "I asked the precincts to do the same thing that North Jakarta Precinct does," said Tito.
