Rupiah Still Firm at Rp13,468/USD

This morning, rupiah strengthened if compared to the movement of trade yesterday. Quoting Bloomberg on Wednesday (11/4/2015), rupiah opened at the position of Rp13,495 per USD, if compared to the day before at the level of Rp13,563 per USD.

Rupiah movement continues to strengthen by 95 points, or equal to 0.70 percent, to the position of Rp13,468 per USD. The movement of rupiah this morning is at Rp13,430 to Rp13,505 per USD, with year to date return of 9.49 percent.

Meanwhile, based on Yahoo Finance data, rupiah is still at the level of Rp13,639 per USD. Rupiah grew stronger by 71.5 points, or equal to 0.52 percent to the position of Rp13,579 per USD.

Quoting the research result of Samuel Sekuritas, the 6th policy package to be announced in the near future will most likely add the positive sentiment. However the global situation will still shadows, especially prior to the release of the rising performance on the US employment sector.

"The dollar index and the results of US Treasury again rose until earlier this morning, in response to the sentiment. The rupiah strengthening is most likely to be on hold today," mentioned the analyst of Samuel Sekuritas, Rangga Cipta.
