Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) in today's opening strengthened as United States (US) Federal Reserve increased its rate.
JCI, Thursday (12/17/2015), strengthened 56.76 points or 1.3 percent to 4,540 points. While, LQ45 index strengthened 13.26 points to 786 points and JII increased 9.69 points to 592 points.
All sectors were in the green zone this morning. The highest increase recorded by consumer sector with 28.36 points followed by manufacturing, agriculture and infrastructure sectors.
Transaction volume this morning reached 543.1 million shares worth Rp729.4 billion. 141 stocks increased, 20 stocks decreased and 52 stocks unchanged.
The top gainers were PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM) rose Rp1,200 to Rp52,100, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) rose Rp650 to Rp36,000, and PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) rose Rp600 to Rp97,225.
While the top losers were PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) fell Rp150 to Rp15,650, PT Siloam International Hospital Tbk (SILO) fell Rp50 to Rp9,850, and PT Tower Bersama Nusantara Tbk (TBIG) fell Rp50 to Rp,950.
In global market, Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 156.67 points or 0.9 percent to 17,525.17 points, S & P 500 rose 21.45 points or 1.06 percent to 2,043.39 points and Nasdaq Composite rose 43.13 points or 0.87 percent to 4,995.36 points.
