Indonesia Urges Asian and African Countries Support Palestinian Independence

Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs A. M. Fachir reiterated support from Indonesia for Palestinian independence in seminar titled 'Recent Development on Palestine and How the UN and International Community Should Respond held in Jakarta, Friday (12/18/2015).
 
"Indonesia supports Palestinian struggle. Palestinians must live in peace and harmony," he said.
 
Fachir also mentioned Indonesia supports Palestine to enter international community.
 
"Asia pacific and Africa countries must coooperate to help Palestine. President Joko Widodo has endorsed it" he added.
 
"In this seminar, we will not only share stories. We will also try to formulate ideas for Palestine especially on conflict between Israel and Palestine which still show no sign that it will end soon," he  explained.
 
The seminar was attended by Palestinian Ambassador for Indonesia Riyad Mansour, Foreign Ministry's Director General of Asia Pacific and Africa Yuri Octavian Thamrin and Indonesian Permanent Representative in United Nations Desra Percaya.
